'F' Family | Cardiff beach | San Diego Family Photographer

I love when a family has a vision in mind for their shoot. It is so fun to help them bring it to reality. This mama loves all things beach and surf, so we discussed the idea to rent an old VW bus for them to use for the beginning of our shoot. I scouted out tons of places up and down the coast of San Diego to find where we could park it right near the sand and water. I adore the way these turned out!

Fun fact: This family was the first family I ever photographed with my Canon Rebel back in 2015. I had just decided I wanted to pursue photography (or at least give it my full effort to see if it is something I really wanted to do) and I asked a few of my friends if I could photograph their family. We headed to the beach right at golden hour to play in the water. I seriously have so much fun with this family!

As promised, here is the same family a little over three years ago. I am proud of how much I have learned and continue to learn in this photography journey. I put a lot of effort into understanding light, knowing how to guide families into the poses I want to show connection, learning and becoming consistent and efficient in editing, marketing to my ideal clients, and understanding the value of my business. I will never know everything I need to know, but that is what I enjoy. Photography is an art that keeps evolving and I am so happy to have found this path.
