Adventuring with kids | Torrey Pines hiking trail | San Diego family photographer

I believe one of the best gifts you can give your kids is a sense of adventure. That is why when W woke up early from his nap the other day, we packed up the car and just drove. My sister is in town visiting and we are having so much fun exploring San Diego with her. Mid-drive, I decided our destination would be Torrey Pines. It has some awesome, short hiking trails that offer great views of the ocean and the city. 

The kids had a blast running down the trail (we did the beach access route, which is about 3/4 miles down to the ocean). We saw some cool flowers, cacti and rabbits along the way. 

Where is your favorite place in San Diego to take your kids exploring? I would love to hear! Torrey Pines was so beautiful and we will definitely be back whether to hike or soak up some beach time.
