 Yesterday was awesome. I will never get tired of homecomings. The joy. The anticipation. The happiness. The reunion of family and friends is just the best to witness.    For the Dix family, this reunion was 6 months in the making. Erin contacted me a while back letting me know she was looking for a homecoming photographer. This was her husband's 6th deployment, although the 5th since they have been married and the first since having little W. As the last bus pulled up, the one with W's daddy, the music was blasting "The boys are back in town" and my heart was pumping for this family. And just like that, Erin spotted her husband and took off running! I love that at the beginning, I am merely a witness to this incredible reunion. Just a fly on the wall [with a camera]. At first, I did my best to capture the rawness of their reunion - running around making sure to capture that first kiss and embrace.
