Why you should book an in home family photo session | San Diego Family Lifestyle Photographer

We have had an extraordinary amount of rain here in San Diego these past few months. While I am loving the green and beautiful flowers that are blooming now, it kind of puts a damper on the whole 'sunny and 75' that we are all used to here in Southern California (not to mention it has led to some rescheduling of outdoor sessions).
I show plenty of newborn in home sessions in my feed, but wanted to share that doing an entire family session in your house is pretty freaking fun (and comfy)! These types of sessions make my heart sing and I hope this post will help you consider booking one. Here are my reasons why:

1. The weather. We don't have to worry about it! All I need is natural light coming into your home and we are good to go. 

2. Home is where the heart is. Seriously, this is where real life happens and memories are made. Yes, it is awesome to get photographs done with the beautiful beach or mountain scenery, but your home is the most natural place to be. Some of my most cherished family photos are when my friend photographed our family making breakfast pizza. I had the photo of my son dancing on the table with flour all over him made into a dry erase board that is on our fridge. 

3. You don't have to worry about rushing to get ready to drive somewhere. And possibly sit in traffic. And then find parking. And then what if there are other people at our spot? Your worries can stop now. None of this is an issue when you get to stay in the comfort of your home. Also, if your kids are grumpy - snuggle them on the couch or on your favorite chair, and let me get a photo of that. 

4. Most of all, it is fun. You get to enjoy your family in the comfort of your home and you will get images that will serve as memories of this precious time in life. I get to be a fly on the wall and document these special moments between all of you, and it is seriously the BEST.
